LANCE BASS AND REICHEN LEHMKUHL ON QUEER AMERICA
N'Sync's Lance Bass may no longer be slated for a trip to outer space with the Russian Cosmonauts, but he's left the launch pad and cleared the tower with an act of bravado that many Hollywood stars just can't or won't have any part of. He said it all on the cover of People Magazine! "I'm Gay!" He's here, he's queer and we're proud as hell of him!

Out Magazine had recently reported that Lance and Reichen Lehmkuhl from Amazing Race had been sighted at Atlantic House, a gay bar in Provincetown, Mass., and Bass who's now 27 years old and was once part of the most successful boy band of all time has officially and publicly said Bye Bye Bye to years of hiding his sexuality.

He is now enjoying a relationship with The Amazing Race reality TV star Reichen Lehmkuhl.

Lance told People Magazine that he kept his sexuality a secret for years because he was afraid that it would have a negative effect on the success of N'Sync, and the careers of his friends and fellow band members J.C. Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, Jason Timberlake and Joey Fatone. He also told People Magazine that fellow boy band member Joey Fatone knew and kept the secret. That kind of steadfast loyalty to a friend and colleague is another thing that's hard to find in show biz.

Lance Bass and Reichen Lehmkuhl! Hollywood's New Cutest Couple!

Lance is keen to express that he is not ashamed of being gay: "That's the one thing I want to say. I don't think it's wrong, I'm not devastated going through this.

"I'm more liberated and happy than I've been my whole life. I'm just happy."

Reichen commented that: "He took years to really think about how he was going to tell everyone. I back him up 100 per cent."
